Please just message me with what you'd like and I'll send back the best options for you. Due to the bespoke nature of most requests, I prefer to process orders myself, rather than doing it through my website. This ensures you can get exactly what you want.
What sizes are your prints available in?
Print sizes can be tailored to what you'd like and some of these prints will look even better when bigger. So please just contact me and I’ll see what’s possible. Some photos are however restricted as to how large they can go, due to their original file size and so would lose their sharpness if printed too large.
Do you offer any other framing or mount options?
Yes. I’d love to ensure that any piece of work is best suited to both your taste and the environment it will live in. So I am very happy to discuss any specific requests. Anything is possible!
Do you do bespoke commissions for photography or videography?
Yes, I’d be delighted to discuss any specific briefs for projects that you have in mind. Ideally, I need 4-8 weeks notice but on occasion I can be available at much shorter notice. Please always just call or email me to check.
Do you only do Fine Art prints?
No. I also offer aerial video services, shot in high resolution (4k). I have a US Commercial (Part 107) License for my drone and would love to discuss any aerial videography that you have in mind.
Do you offer family portrait photography?
Family photography is not core part of what I do, but I am happy to discuss any portrait photography if my schedule allows. You can see some of the testimonials from my previous work on my home page. For Holiday cards, please contact as early as possible both due to my schedule and also print-lead times during the busy holiday season. Portrait sessions are typically outdoor, using natural light.
How does your pricing work?
As a professional photographer there are various costs to consider, these include:
- Time and costs to prep, shoot and edit photos
- Ensuring the best quality printing & framing
- Business running costs (insurance, marketing and other fees)
- Some profit for business income and future investment in art pieces and equipment
What's the difference between open versus limited edition?
Limited by name and nature, with only a few available of that image and hence the slightly higher prices for these. Open edition prints are not limited by the number or size produced and are not numbered. Open edition prints are less expensive than my limited edition prints, and offer more flexibility in terms of custom print sizes and cropping to specific sizes. They are printed using the same quality archival materials as my limited edition prints.
What are your delivery timelines?
Delivery will depend on what is being ordered and when. Different frames are also fulfilled by different partners and so can be dependent on them. Prints are typically much quicker and bespoke framing options will take longer. Allow at least four weeks and busy holiday periods and bespoke frames can be longer.
Do you guarantee your print quality?
All purchases are guaranteed. My photos are carefully inspected before they are shipped, however there is a slight chance that damage may occur in transit. I will of course replace prints or frames that are damaged in transit at no cost to the customer. Replacement prints are shipped only after the return and inspection of the original damaged piece.
Do you offer refunds?
I am passionate ensuring the highest quality work. If for any reason you are unhappy with what you’ve paid for, then I am willing to offer a refund.
What are your cancellation charges?
I can always be flexible to the whims of the weather, however charges do apply for any other reason for a client that cancels a booking. Cancellation charges are 50% if within 7 days of the booking and 75% if within 2 days of the booking. 100% on the day of the booking.
Do you have a commercial licence?
Ben C Photography & Marketing LLC is a fully registered business in Connecticut. I have a Commercial License for my drone (Part 107) and I am also insured.
Can prints be copied?
I'm afraid not. All my photographic prints are sold for display purposes only, which I hope you can respect. Scanning or copying prints in any way is considered infringement of my copyright and a violation of federal copyright law. If you are interested in using one of my images for advertising or design purposes please contact me to discuss licensing the high-resolution image.
What else should I know about your work?
Safety and privacy come first. I come fully insured for what I do. I take the utmost care and respect for the safety and privacy of those around me whilst shooting. If I’m not comfortable for any reason, then I won’t shoot. I only fly during daylight hours. Other factors that have to be considered when flying my drone are the weather (rain, wind, temperature), the presence of other people, along with getting flight (FAA) approval in flight restricted areas.
