The town of Chatham in Cape Cod has an incredible charm about it that draws many in the summer months. We thought we'd try it in the quieter winter months and there's no doubt this charm still holds true in winter in this quintessential New England town.
I am completely drawn in by the gray-shingle houses and could have snapped many more in my brief time there. We were lucky to stay at the fabulous Chatham Bars Inn and from there you can easily walk around the streets, down to the shops on Main Street, Chatham Pier (and see the seals!) and the beaches. Our favourite walk there was the Morris Island Loop trail up to Harding Beach Point.
It's also a great place to explore the other parts of Cape Cod, from Harwich all the way up to Provincetown. There are endless breathtaking beach walks, charming shops and great local eateries to enjoy. We've already booked a return trip back in May to explore the area more. Any suggestions on your favourite places to go and also photograph are always welcome!
